Windows 7: Seemingly random BSODs

Windows 7 Professional x64

It sounds as if there may be at least a small relation between the USB controller and the BSODs/freezes. Hard to say though. What I can say is that this is not a software problem.

Have you flashed the latest BIOS yet? If not, that's worth a try.

The motherboard sounds like the most likely cause of these hangs/crashes, so if it came down to purchasing a new component, I'd have to recommend that first. If you have another CPU or PSU you can try, you might save yourself some money.

I did flash the BIOS and I have done it a few times before. Didn't make a difference.

I will try to connect a different PSU and switch CPUs. Will be a bit painful, considering those are in a different PC.

Seemingly random BSODs
I'm not sure how much more information I could have put into the title, so sorry if it's insufficient. The problem started the day I built my computer, which was the 4th of December, 2014. The first BSOD I encountered was when I shut down my computer for the first time, after it had 'shut...

Seemingly random BSODs
Getting BSODs at random, but it seems as though most of the time it's because I alt tab into or out of a full screen program. This might of course be confirmation bias. Got this when I logged back on, maybe it can help: BCCode: 3b BCP1: 00000000C0000005 BCP2: FFFFF96000164283 ...

Seemingly random BSODs
Hi, I've been experiencing BSODs for a couple of months, but they seem to be getting more frequent recently. It's mostly when I'm running several programs (but not games), but other than that I haven't noticed anything particular. Sorry not to be more specific - I'd be really grateful for any...

Been having seemingly random BSODs
My month old desktop has been either freezing/locking up forcing me to do a hard reboot, or just restarting completely on its own since I got it. Only getting the BSODs since I changed the system to not restart automatically. Before that it was just a poof with no explanation. I say random because...

Seemingly random BSODs?
Okay, so I *thought* my computer was fine, but yesterday it started p*ssing me off again. What a surprise... If you knew how many BSODs this friggin system has gone through, you would be surprised. Anyway, I've gotten 2 BSODs since I thought it was fixed. No minidump files have been produced and...
