mgorman87- No BIOS reset. I haven't changed anything in BIOS so I haven't resorted to that yet.

Going for a faster one
Hi, Iím bidding for a Dell OptiPlex 780 Small PC -Core2Duo E8400 3GHz 4GB DDR3 500GB HDD Win 7 Pro OS because it faster than my present Dell OptiPlex 520 Pentium D 2.8 GHz Win 7 X 64 Home Premium. So far I donít know if this prospective PC is a 32 or 64bit.

USB 3.0 is faster than USB 2.0, but by how much really?
I'm a bit uncertain by just how much faster USB 3.0 is over USB 2.0. I've read a few articles where it was stated that on paper 3.0 is 10x faster than 2.0, but would never be achieved in the the real world. The "real world" improvement would be more like 3x. Now, I'm sure this is making...

I have a SATA 3 WD 1TB HDD that is 6Gb/s and if I buy a SSD it is also rated at 6Gb/s however the SSD cost 10 times more for each byte so what am I missing?

All things being equal i.e. RAM (3 GB), Processor, Graphics Card, etc. Which OS would be faster ? Windows 7 RC x86 or Windows 7 RC x64 ?

i saw some graphs says win7 is faster than xp... but is it really faster? anyone did a real usage test? like can you really feel it's faster? hehe still undecided what i should use.... had pre-installed vista basic on my new laptop.... damn thats a really <edit> os, slow and not...
