PLEASE HELP, UNKNOWN BSOD
So I was attempting to format a Hitachi laptop hard drive by plugging it into an external hd case and connecting it via usb to my laptop. It was recognized as a cd drive and i couldnt format it, but i remembered being told that sometimes the drive letters have a conflict and changing them might help. I changed the *original* cd/dvd drive to L and the hd i was attempting to format to E. After a reboot, my laptop loaded to the "starting windows" screen then BSOD so quickly I had no hope of seeing the info. I cannot logon to windows and am currently attempting Startup Repair to if it can be fixed that way. I tried to use System Restore but got an error that the restore point could not be loaded. The laptop in question is a Compaq CQ-60, running Windows 7 32 bit, upgraded from Vista. W7 was reinstalled in October 2010 (i realized later that was unnecessary) when I had problems with software conflict. The computer was purchased new in Oct. 2009
Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200 2GHz
3GB RAM
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Please, any help is appreciated, Startup Repair has been running about 10 mins and nothing yet, is this normal? If any other info is needed, let me know, I can't get into the computer, but if I remember, I'll provide it.
