Ok, so i resolved the BSOD problem from the last thread... at least for now, but i'm still getting this error every so often. It states, "host process for windows services stopped working." I check the problem reports and I get this:

I also noticed that windows encounters a problem when checking for updates. Error code: 80072EFE. Any and all help would be appreciated, let me know what information you require.

I managed to solve the problem on my own. It boiled down to a rootkit infection my PCTools wasn't able to handle. Below is a link to the solution in case anybody comes across the same problem again.
