First glaring problem is asacpi.sys (yours 2005) A known huge cause of BSOD's

1-ASACPI.SYS a major cause of BSOD's in the 2005 rev.

The pre 2009 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.

Visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt

Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 8th item down).

Download and install it.

Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005)

Ok, that seemed to work for the blue screen of death! haven't gotten one again.
Now I have another issue. I have my monitor set to turn off after 10 minutes, which it does, but it then comes right back on with a black screen and the cursor visible. It stays that way until someone wakes the computer...
It's very annoying and I don't like wasting the power...
And occasionally it won't wake from this condition, which is even worse.
Any suggestions?
