Just recently my computer had an unprompted physical memory dump crash, and keeps crashing right after the windows loading screen. I tried everything to try to fix it, but my options are kind of limited since I can't even get into windows via safe mode. I set my bios to boot from my windows 7 upgrade CD, and tried to do a system repair, system restore point, and scan for memory problems, all of which failed. Both the system repair and memory scan claimed that there were no problems, and when I tried to do a system restore, it failed and said:
"An unspecified error occured during system restore - 0x80070057"
But the first time I attempted to do the system restore, even after it claimed it failed, it restarted my machine and managed to load windows, but it was running VERY slow, no start up programs were starting, nothing was happening, and I was forced to restart again. On this restart, I got past the windows loading screen again, everything was running fine momentarily, and it said that the system restore was a success. Moments later, I got the same blue screen error and system restore is no longer working at all. I'm not really sure what else I can do at this point.
Lastly, for some reason during the Windows 7 installation screen, it claims my windows 7 is installed on a partition which it is not...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
