Recently occuring semi-random BSODs.

Hi guys,

Recently my PC started to randomly BSOD. The first time it did it when I clicked yes on a do you want to run as admin window. And then the next couple of times I got a BSOD error when trying to open some mp4 movie files. And just now, as I was typing this up, a warning window from my antivirus popped up and it BSOD'd again. So I guess the only common elements in my BSODs are that they've occured when trying to open movie files and when windows have popped up.

I love my PC and generally I'm not too tech-challenged, but when it comes to BSODs and crashes and debugging and all that, my love just isn't enough and neither is my know how.

So please help!

I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, full retail version and my machine is a little bit more than a year old now. My other specs are in my profile but if any of those details matter ask and I'll post them here as well. And per forum guidlines I've attached the dump files, etc., etc.

I'm a bit worried about this because it's only very recently suddenly started to happen, and my machine is pretty new.

Many thanks in advance.

Boot into safe mode with networking, go to 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\drivers', locate US40fs64.sys and delete it
This will permanently fix your BSOD

Semi-random 0x124 BSODs, more frequent under load
Ever since I got my PC - in October '13 - I have been experiencing semi-random BSODs. The majority of them have STOP code 0x00000124 (uncorrectable hardware error), and are caused by either ntoskrnl or hal.dll (although there are exceptions to both of these observations). Here's a link to an...

Semi-random BSODs & Deadlocks - BCCode: 1a
This is a brand new built from scratch Windows 7 Ultimate OS PC. The 30 day return period will expire in two days meaning it's too late to simply have it replaced by the retailer. Semi-regular but random BSODs - possibly due to PCI-E version mismatch
For the past few months, my wife's computer has been experiencing BSODs in a semi-regular but random fashion...not necessarily triggered by anything concrete, but more or less guaranteed to happen eventually. The video card in the computer was replaced back in March (from a nVidia 9800 GT to a...
