Unable to change Crash Dump settings

    Hello...

    Some Win7 weirdness here.

I want to move the crash dump files off of my C: drive and onto D: (since C: is an SSD). I changed both the minidump and full dump settings in Computer >> Properties >> Advanced System Settings >> Startup and Recovery.

When I press OK after the changes I get the following warning:
Windows might not be able to record details that could help identify system errors because your current paging file is disabled or less than 400 MBytes. Click OK to return to the Virtual Memory settings window, enable the paging file, and set the size to a value over 400MB or click Cancel to change your memory dump selection.

However this is not true, a quick trip to the Virtual Memory setting confirms that there is a page file on Y:\ and it's size is 8151MB, system managed. No page file on C: or D:.
(This is the way it was set up, on purpose).

So I ignore the warning and save my settings.

    Then I reboot.

If I go to Computer >> Manage >> Disks, Disk Administrator still reports the C: volume as "Crash Dump".

Any idea what's going on here?

    Thanks
    SS

    Same problem here

Have you found out of this?

I've also got an SSD as drive C:, and Windows crashes quite often, but is unable to write the crash dump files to drive C:, so I think there might be a problem with my SSD drive or maybe the controller or drivers for the controller.
