    Everything Not Responding ENR!!

I just did a fresh install after upgrading my motherboard but when i group a folder by date modified everything starts to crash my browser, explorer, utorrents. At first I had no idea what was going on.. but if i set my folder to no grouping and that made the computer fine.

    Any ideas? so weird....

    Hi there,

First thing i would say is utorrents P2P is always risky. There are chances it might be a Malware infection. Download Malwarebytes and install it and reboot in Safe Mode and do a complete scan.

If you're using heavy Internet Security sutie like Norton, McAfee uninstall it for the time being and see if that has any affect on the system. Reboot the system in Selective Startup Run Selective Startup using System Configuration

    Hope this helps,
    Captain

    thanks for the tip

I thought that too so i downloaded avast and avg and have them both running at the moment.. but nothing showing up

Seriously get unstable from grouping as date modified.. could it be because it's old files somehow? like desktop.ini or thumbs or something like that?

and setting icons in list format and grouping combo makes the system unstable,, unless it's some other hardware malfunction and just a coincidence

edit. also svhosts is taking up so much ram. is that because i upgraded to 8 gigs and windows 7 is trying utilize that? Right now it's at 190k!?

Don't install 2 security programs on same computer that will get things worst. Remove AVG then let Avast run. Then Download Malwarebytes and install it and reboot in Safe Mode and do a complete scan. Once we rule out software issue we can move to Hardware Diagnostic.

Ran Malwarebytes in safe-mode came up clean also ran memtest for 1 cycle came up clean also.

The problem is less intermittent now but still randomly things start to stop responding and it feels like it has something to do with explorer or with a lot of hard drive access maybe

    Hi there,

Run the MemTest86+ atleast 8 passes (over night) so we can rule out memory problem.

I was running dirt 2 and I got Exception code: 0xc0000005

earlier svc_host crashed giving me Exception code: 0xc0000005 too

    earlier dmw.exe Exception code: 0xc0000005

    earlier blizzarddownloader.exe Exception code: 0x40000015

all within about a 2 hours timeline.

going to run WD lifeguard extended tests overnight on both my harddrives if I can. Is it possible I got a lemon of a motherboard or processor?

Ran WD Lifeguard exteneded test with no issues also ran seagate seatools long standard test with no issues.. I guess all I can say now is wtf? maybe rma motherboard and processor time

Is there a test that I can run on the processor?

edit.. Don't want to keep adding posts and posts lol
I'm going to try a new power supply right now I'm at 630 watts and it seems like I crash when my system is heavily taxed on all of it's components I'm either going to go with the corsair hx750 or the new tx750 v2. Not sure if it's worth it to pay 30 dollars more for a modular power supply.
