We need the actual dmp files for examination

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.

    To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

Hi, David; I looked at the four most resent dumps from those you uploaded. I will look further later on. Each of the dumps shows a different stop error code; this usually indicates a hardware/ hardware related problem. All four dumps indicate memory corruption I would like to look deeper into the system. Please read this tutorial, run the tool, and upload the resulting files in your next post: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html. This will help us to help you better.

Bugcheck A, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Usual causes: Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility.

Bugcheck 3B, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory.

Bugcheck D1, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Usual causes: Device driver.

Bugcheck 7E, SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. Usual causes: Insufficient disk space, Device driver, Video card, BIOS, Breakpoint with no debugger attached, Hardware incompatibility, Faulty system service, Memory, 3rd party remote control.
    1. Have your friend upgrade his OS by installing Service Pack 1:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...ice-pack-1-sp1. And then make sure he/she has the MS updates installed.

    2. Update the following driver. Update it from the computer manufacture's website or the link provided. Do not use Windows update. This driver is definitely out of date.
nvm62x64.sys Fri Oct 17 17:01:06 2008 - nVidia Ethernet Networking Driver (nForce chipset driver). Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers
If updating this driver does not help the system's stability, please enable Driver Verifier carefully following the instructions in this tutorial: Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable. Use the computer normally while Verifier is running. If Verifier encounters a faulty driver, it will trigger a BSOD. Upload any and all Driver Verifier enables dumps.

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffff88003330194, The address that the exception occurred at
    Arg3: fffff88001f87f38, Exception Record Address
    Arg4: fffff88001f877a0, Context Record Address

    Fixed...Maybe

    Hi

I am Matt, daves friend. It is my computer he has been trying to fix and while messing around on it and nVidia's site, I found the drivers you were talking about and installed them and well it hasn't crashed since *touch wood* even when doing tasks that caused it to BSOD before.

Should I still update to SP1 and run the other driver tool. Or should I just leave it, create a restore point and see how it goes on?

Cheers you guys for all your help!

Matt, you are very welcome for the help.

I suggest you run your computer and see how it does. Outdated drivers can definitely cause conflicts, memory corruption and BSOD's. For now, if your system is stable, just use it. If you get another BSOD, run the tool and upload all of the resulting files which will include the latest dump(s). Then enable Driver Verifier as I mentioned above.

I hope simply updating drivers solved your problem. Feel free to post any questions you have.

    Not again!!

Yeah it has happened again multiple times, so I set up driver verifier and rebooted then after one crash here are all the dumps from the mini-dumps folder. Please can you help me sort out this problem. I want to be able to use my new sparkly computer!

Good morning, Matt. I am sorry you are still having problems. Is Driver Verifier still enabled? If not, please turn it back on. I looked at the three dumps I had not previously seen. The latest is a Driver Verifier enabled dump and it blames ntkrnlmp.exe, which is Windows system core file and highly unlikely to be the real cause.

Please run the tool following the instructions in this tutorial. I need to take a look at your system: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html. The files from this tool will let me look at your system. For example, I look at your programs that load on startup and I can see what applications are crashing.

Generally speaking, when dumps are spitting out random bugcheck codes as your are doing, it indicates a hardware or hardware related problem.

Bugcheck 7E, SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. Driver Verifier enabled. Usual causes: Insufficient disk space, Device driver, Video card, BIOS, Breakpoint with no debugger attached, Hardware incompatibility, Faulty system service, Memory, 3rd party remote control.

Bugcheck 24, NTFS File system. Usual causes: Disk corruption, insufficient physical memory, Device driver, Indexing, Resident antivirus, backup, defrag programs, Disk/Drive failing/failure.

Bugcheck 50, Usual causes: Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM), Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS.

What antivirus are you running and what firewall are you running?

    1. Update your OS by installing Service Pack 1. This is essential.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...ice-pack-1-sp1. Then install important Windows updates. Let's get your system up to date.

    2. See if you can update this driver. I can't say this driver is causing problems. But it is out of date and Win 7 is finicky about networking drivers.
nvmf6264.sys Thu Apr 30 15:45:59 2009 - nVidia nForce network driver. Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers.
    3. While I don't think you have a hard drive problem, because of bugcheck 24, I recommend that you run CheckDisk.
Run CHKDSK /R /F from an elevated (Run as adminstrator) Command Prompt. Please do this for each hard drive on your system.
When it tells you it can't do it right now - and asks you if you'd like to do it at the next reboot - answer Y (for Yes) and press Enter. Then reboot and let the test run. It may take a while for it to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates any errors. See "CHKDSK LogFile" below in order to check the results of the test.

    Elevated Command Prompt:
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the Search Box, right click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"

    CHKDSK LogFile:
Go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Expand the Windows logs heading, then select the Application log file entry.
Double click on the Source column header.
Scroll down the list until you find the Chkdsk entry (wininit for Windows 7).
    Please post your results.

    4. Next, run a bootable hard drive diagnostic program. Read the details at this link. This will tell you whether or not you have a a hard drive problem. HD Diagnostic

    5. Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours of computer operating time. Depending on the results, we will go from there.

I know this is frustrating for you. But when the dumps do not give us a specific cause, we have to troubleshoot by the process of elimination. It appears that you have a conflict somewhere or a hardware problem. I hope the files the the JC Griff tool generates will help narrow down the search.

Arg2: fffff80002e14c09, The address that the exception occurred at
