    BSOD from streaming videos


    Almost everytime I stream videos on youtube, both of my screens are covered in horizontal lines and then the BSOD appears. I believe that I have the latest drivers but I am not positive if I am getting the correct ones. This is a new computer installation that I put together. All of the specs are listed under User CP.

    I will attach the required zip file below. I also included a file of the event after the computer restarted. This is what it gave.

    These were all caused by your Intel Ethernet driver (elq62x64.sys). Download and install a fresh copy and it should help

    Well, it ran fine all day yesterday and last night I was streaming a netflix movie and it crashed again. I had almost forgot about it crashing until just now when it crashed while playing starcraft 2 and listening to music on pandora.

    This is the driver that I downloaded:

    It seemed like the best and afer I downloaded it I went to device manager and it said that my driver is up to date.

    I will add the results of the program again but I think it included the previous ones as well, I am not sure if I can or should delete the old dump files. I also added the screen that appeared after the computer restarted for the last two crashes.

    Still the same I am afraid. Can you tell me something about the network setup and when and how the problem started.

    Its an Intel(R) 82583V Gigabit Network Connection. It has been going since I put the computer together just over a couple weeks ago I think. I am running cable internet through a wireless N router although I have it wired. It happens a lot less since I downloaded the driver a couple days ago, but it still doesn't like netflix. I can watch about twenty minutes into a movie and then the BSOD. If I open netflix back up and start watching again then the entire movie plays without another BSOD. Is there anything specific that I can tell you to help? Thanks again!

    Still could be the ISP, a driver, a network connection, etc. If it happens mostly with Netflix it may also be a configuration issue. Are you using Homegroup (IPV6) for networking?

    I didn't set up Homegroup unless it automatically does it. It happened again yesterday but this time I was just listening to pandora. It had the same locale ID but a different BCCode. Here is the Problem Event:

    We really do need the DMP to be definitive.




    To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.



    To ensure minidumps are enabled:

    Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
    Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
    Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
    Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
    Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    OK your way out.
    Reboot if changes have been made.
