    bl1tz,

Do you have your installation DVD?

Try booting the computer with the DVD, use System Recovery Options to open a command prompt.

Option Two of this tutorial shows how to do that:
    System Recovery Options

Next, launch System Restore: at the command prompt, type rstrui.exe and hit enter.

When you are trying for 2 to 4 days on this problem; it would be quicker to reinstall window (custom). Then reinstall all your apps.

You need to tell bios to boot from your dvdrom drive first.

Start your laptop and watch the writing on the screen that starts straight away - watch for something that says boot menu, or boot selection , or similar - There will be a key to press, mine is F11 ( yours may be different ).

I think it is F8 for ASUS - start the pc , tap F8, then arrow down to dvdrom drive, or it may say cdrom drive - then press enter.

It should then boot from the dvd you have in the drive.

I Hit f8 which lead me to Advanced Boot Options and i saw Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Enable Boot Logging, Enable Low Resolution, Last Known Good Config, Directory Service Restore Mode, Debugging Mode, Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure and Disable Driver Signature Enforcement, but i did not see dvdrom drive or cdrom drive
