Windows 7: explorer crashing after update

explorer crashing after update

I don't know what is going on. After sp1 and ie9 update explorer keeps crashing and restarting. it seems to be at random. Please can someone help or get me going in the right direction? this is driving me nuts! here is the details it gives me...

I already had the latest nvidia driver but I downloaded it again and did a clean install. Didn't work.

Did SFC with no problems.

Decided that I was coming up on close to 2 years without a crash and decided that I couldn't complain. So I wiped my HD and did a clean install of 7ult. I had gathered a lot of useless crap over that time, so I was due a clean install anyway.
