System, streaming video and game crashes

These crashes are mostly impacting my game playing, though the system does crash, rarely, while streaming video... which is why I am posting here and not (yet again) in the Blizzard forums. I play World of Warcraft. The crashes have been happening for almost a year, though they are happening much more often now.
Over the course of the past year, I have used driver cleaners, updated drivers and just recently ran Memtest86+ all night, 5 full passes, no errors.
As Blizzard recommends, I have deleted (renamed) the Cache, Interface and WTF folders with no luck. The WoW repair utility reports no problems.
On those rare instances when I am able to prevent the whole system from crashing (by tapping the Escape key) I am getting Error #132 Fatal Exception Access Violation, reported by WoW.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit, OEM, original installation (not an upgraded version)
My machine (hardware) and my installation are about a year and a half old.

    -------------
Grrrr... I can't attach the zip file. The file selection dialog box says "No items match your search"... but I am not searching, I am clicking directly on the zip folder and I have checked to make sure the zipped folders and files are in the zip folder.

    -------------
Thanks. lol I detest virtual folders.

So you are having problems attaching it to the reply?

Where is the zip file located?

Tried FurMark, the results weren't great, but nothing bad happened. lol

    Preset 720 results
    Score: 796 points (13fps, 60000ms)
    Max temp: 68 degrees C

Burn-In test results (1920x1200 - native res, ran the test for 5 minutes, reached max temp after about 3 minutes)
    Max temp: 75 degrees C
    FPS: min:8, max:10, avg:9
    core 550MHz, mem 950MHz
    GPU load: 99%
    Mem load: 11%
VDDC: 1.000V, Fan speed 0% ----no data, fan kicked in at about 73 degrees C, went to high at about 75 degrees C.

    ------------

Tried to run Video Memory Stress Test 1.7.116... with these results...

    Trying 16bpp RGB:565 mode...OK
    TEST FAIL (Code: 8876017C)
    Trying 16bpp RGB:555 mode...OK
    TEST FAIL (Code: 8876017C)
    Trying 16bpp BGR:565 mode...NOT SUPPORTED (Code: 80004001)
    Trying 32bpp RGB:888 mode...OK
    TEST FAIL (Code: 8876017C)
    Trying 32bpp BGR:888 mode...NOT SUPPORTED (Code: 80004001)
    NO PASS COMPLETED

I read the ReadMe file before launching ^... but with the poor English I am unsure if I had the test set correctly. I used the DirectX test... since I wasn't sure what to select for the CUDA (frozen beta) test or the OpenGL (beta) test.

    --------------
I should have mentioned this before...
I can run World of Warcraft on maximum video settings (Ultra, where available.) The video has a very slight stutter and seems to be only slightly more likely to crash than when all settings are on Low.

Upon reflection, I find it difficult to believe that I was only getting 9FPS... the Fur animation was very smooth, there was no visible stutter. But what do I know...

    Anyway, a little help please?

I dont know much about SLI setups, but have you tried to remove the second video card and installing the latest video drivers and see what happens.

This is a hybrid SLI machine. There is only one actual video card, the other half is on-board graphics.

I was running with the hybrid SLI active, but months ago I disabled the on-board in the BIOS and tried to find as many of the references to SLI and the integrated video as possible to disable those as well via the software... to eliminate the 'power saving' options that cause the machine to try to run the on-board.

So one of them I cannot remove... lol. But I did run driver sweeper and install the latest drivers (repeatedly) with and without the hybrid SLI active.

    ---------------------------

Although I have not tested it extensively (I have not had the time to do so yet) I partitioned the hard drive and loaded Linux on this machine last night. I ran WoW through Wine in an effort to definitively rule out the possibilities of hardware failure. Thus far there have not been any crashes, but as I said, I have not tested it thoroughly, and still have work to do to figure out how to enable some of the video settings WoW offers... but on low settings WoW was running fine, with only a little bit of a lag to it... 30fps in Linux, not as good as the 60fps I was getting in Win7.

After some tweaking and more testing, 60-70fps on Linux, I am reasonably sure it is not a hardware failure, I have also tested streaming video and have not had any problems. That really only leaves software as the culprit.

Anyone have other suggestions for tracking down this problem so I can use Win 7 again?

If the hardware passes, the only thing left that can cause it is the video drivers. It might be worth opening a support case with Nvidia and providing them this data so as to get them to figure out what's wrong with their drivers. Unfortunately, we can only tell you to try multiple different versions to see if any one particular driver version is more stable than others on your system - as to what is actually causing the problem (especially if we've tested the hardware for stability and it's passed all tests) you have to go to the driver vendor to figure that out at the "root-cause" level, unfortunately.
