PC wont boot after being shut off

My PC froze so I was forced to shut off by holding power button for 8 seconds. When i tried to reboot I got some boot error.

I took the drive out (Im assuming by now partition table is messed up so I want to load some partition recovery tool) and i put the drive in an enclosure and hooked it up to my working PC. In windows disk utility the drive showed up (500 GB) and I could see the seperate partitions (recovery and 2 data 240 GB partitions), they said healthy etc but would not show up in windows explorer as an NTFS partition.

After a minute it started making a clicking noise, I couldnt see the drive in disk utility any longer. When I loaded up Active partition recovery boot cd it also couldnt see the clicking drive?

I dont think the drive would physically die from being powered off however.

What are my options? I need the drive repaired today.
