Artifacts in BIOS, BSOD before windows screen. SCII
Just started occurring in the last three days. First occurred was when I was playing SCII. I've had my system for almost 2 years now issue-free and I have not over-clocked any of the components to my computer.
Windows 7 64bit
asus p6t v2 MOBO
920 D0 CPU
6GB OCZ RAM
1tb caviar black
850w Corsair PSU
4870 sapphire vapor-x GFX
I ran memtest for 12 passes and everything checked out okay.
Upon boot up, I get artifacts throughout the BIOS. If I don't go in safe mode the computer will BSOD. Sometimes after restarting from safe mode, the system will boot up without artifacts. And if i'm lucky i can get to the desktop without being in safe mode.
Today, I was able to get my system to boot up just fine and allowed me to play SCII for about 4 hours before BSOD on me.
When running the BSOD Dump & System File Collection, a tab showed up stating: <br>
cmd.exe - Corrupt File
The file or directory C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\Kernal_0_0cab_113a2ebf is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility
I appreciate any insight or help I can get. Thanks.
