    BSOD - Driver power state error

    Hi, I am recently facing this BSOD prob that really bothers me. The screen says something like "driver power state error" and ask me to disable BIOS caching and shodowing if i am not mistaken.

    Hope to get some ideas on how to debug it. Thank you so much!

    Not seeing any BSOD minidumps. Make sure they are enabled
    Set MiniDump

    Code:
    Event[93]:
      Log Name: System
      Source: volmgr
      Date: 2011-04-28T23:33:10.046
      Event ID: 46
      Task: N/A
      Level: Error
      Opcode: N/A
      Keyword: Classic
      User: N/A
      User Name: N/A
      Computer: HangSeng-PC
      Description:
    Crash dump initialization failed!
    Code:
    AutoReboot=TRUE
    Caption=
    DebugFilePath=%SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP
    DebugInfoType=0
    Description=
    ExpandedDebugFilePath=C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP
    ExpandedMiniDumpDirectory=C:\Windows\Minidump
    KernelDumpOnly=FALSE
    MiniDumpDirectory=%SystemRoot%\Minidump
    Name=Microsoft Windows 7 Professional |C:\Windows|\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1
    OverwriteExistingDebugFile=TRUE
    SendAdminAlert=FALSE
    SettingID=
    WriteDebugInfo=FALSE
    WriteToSystemLog=FALSE
    Looks like dump writing is disabled. Follow the instructions from the link above to get it set up properly

    Code:
    Total Physical Memory:     1,919 MB
    Available Physical Memory: 803 MB
    You probably could use another stick of memory. Running kind of low.

    Thanks for the time and attention. The BSOD prob has became more frequent. really worries me
    I am suppose to have 2GB of RAM and was not really running much heavy apps, why is my RAM so low? can it be some hardware prob at the RAM?

    Thanks!

    Try a Startup Repair

    Let me know if you can get back into Windows.

    I tried a startup repair, after the repair, the system tries to load window, but before anything happens, my com restarts again. I realized that my blue screen shows different errors, does this means that my motherboard is spoilt?

    I just managed to boot into safe mode.
    I tried taking out 1 the 2 RAM sticks, and running the computer on the remaining RAM.
    BSOD still happens. If i did not remember wrongly, i got BSOD once when I was in safe mode previously.

    What else can i try, to locate the problem?

    I have attached a list of crash events using BlueScreenView.
    Can someone tell me what's happening to my computer?

    I think it's time to take a closer look at the hardware.
