Hey guys, I've been getting random reboots on my desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit recently, and actually, this is the 3rd time its been happening. It happened around 4 months ago when I upgraded all of my computers hardware to brand new stuff. I tried everything to fix it, and in the end the only thing that fixed it was a complete format and new installation of windows. That worked for 2-3months, then it happened again, and I had to reinstall ALL over again.
It just started happening again a week ago, this time less frequently than the others because whenever it happens, I immediately enter safe mode, since the computer is completely stable in safe mode with networking. I get no BSOD errors or any warning before it happens, the computer just turns off, and reboots. It still does it even after turning off automatic reboots in the kernel dump selection area. I did a memtest a while back for a few hours and it was all good, and I bought a new PSU thats plenty powerful for the computer so I'm not sure what is wrong with it. I'm thinking it might be the motherboard or something, but I wish there was a way to find out for sure. I do not want to reformat my computer one more time for something that will most likely come back in a few months. Let me know what kind of information I can post that will help! Thank you.
Also, a thing I noticed, it never reboots when I'm playing a video game like World of Warcraft or Heroes of Newerth, even if one of the games is just running in the background and Im alt tabbed. It usually happens when I'm just cruising youtube or facebook or something. I've heard it might be some power management issue, but I have no idea.
