avgidseh.sys driver failure

Hello i am new to the website but am in dire need of some help.
My desktop as of two weeks ago hasn't been able to boot into windows 7, a Linux live CD, or the AVG rescue CD. Also it will not boot into safe mode. This started while i was playing wow and had Pandora up in the background.....i walked away from my computer to come back and see that it was off. i turned it back on and then came a window saying something about error recovery so i went into the recovery process with it not completing the process but on restart and starting windows normally, it would finally start up. But shortly thereafter, it shut off without warning. Almost as if the power was cut off.
After reading up on other forums as to what the problem could be, i have cleaned out the computer case, reseated the RAM, checked the CPU fan and the power supply fan; they all work. Tried running it with just one stick of RAM in each slot, switching the RAM sticks individually as well.
I can enter the BIOS or the boot order menu for as long as i want without any problems. The computer only dies when booting into a operating system. Also when i press the power button, it will turn off after 4 seconds but after turning it on a couple times, it will finally turn on and stay on untill i boot. PLEASE help me out. The computer cost me a fortune.

thanks for the quick replies everyone.....i think i figured it out myself. there are a few capacitors that do look like they are bulging and one had some orange stuff at the top but was very minor but definitely was leakage. Looks like i need a new motherboard.
