    Windows 7 - Kernel-Power (Event ID: 41 Task: 63 )

Alright, so this PC likes to randomly crash and freeze. The entire system locks up and becomes non-responsive, generally while I am gaming. The only way I can get it to desktop is to do a hard reset. I have monitored my GPU temperatures and none of them have went above 65 Celsius on full load.

    Basic information:
    Windows 7 Professional 64-bit ( original OS )
    OEM
The system itself was built less than a year ago.
No, I have not reinstalled the OS at any time.

To cover every base I know, I am uploading my DxDiag information as well.
Any and all assistance that can be rendered, I would like to thank everyone in advance for.

    So to give an update.
I've run a memory test using the windows diagnostic system, and ran the Ram through 12 passes, no errors came up from it. My drivers are updated, and I never receive any intermittent heat warnings, or anything of that nature.
I've tried placing an older video card in, with a gtx 260 nvidia by an eVga and continue getting the same results.

    Hello Shannon,

This error jumps out at me:
    Code:
    Event[905]:
      Log Name: System
      Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Processor-Power
      Date: 2011-03-11T02:37:42.704
      Event ID: 35
      Task: N/A
      Level: Error
      Opcode: Info
      Keyword: N/A
      User: S-1-5-18
      User Name: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
      Computer: Shannon-PC
      Description:
Performance power management features on processor 5 in group 0 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.
    Your current BIOS:
    Code:
BIOS Version/Date Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG, 11/25/2009
Go to your motherboard page, and flash the latest BIOS. That alone may do the trick.

What is the make/model of your PSU?

Thanks for the assistance, Mr. King.
To answer some of your questions, I am running a Cooler Master GX Series 750W ATX12V SLI Ready 80 Plus Bronze Certified PSU.

And I was always taught to ask if you don't know something, so I'll do so now.
Where would I go to get the newest Bios for my machine? When I downloaded and tried the newest from evga, it gave me a "part number does not match" error, even though it is an evga x58 SLI3 motherboard, and that is what I downloaded the BIOS for.

I'm not sure what that error's all about; all I can suggest is trying a different method of installation. Out of the three methods listed there, the CD and USB drive are the most reasonable; floppy drivers have already become rare.

If that doesn't work, you may consider opening a support care with EVGA: EVGA | Support | Home

Still run the Prime95 test: https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...t-prime95.html

Stress Test passed with flying colors.
I'm still getting the same error whenever I try to update the BIOS that I downloaded.
Any assistance would be great, if anyone is able to do so.

Try opening a support case with EVGA: EVGA | Support | Home

I'll post to see if anyone else has an idea about the BIOS issue, but you might start with EVGA right away.

Is there a Revision Number on your motherboard? Sometimes the manufacturer will upgrade a component from one revision to the next, requiring a different BIOS. :)

I found your motherboard BIOS download on the EVGA website within 30 seconds.
    ftp://ftp.evga.com/bios/E76777.bin < Direct download
http://www.evga.com/support/drivers/ < select your Motherboard yourself

Just copy that file to a flash drive, boot into BIOS and follow the instructions here:

Can I burn it to a DVD-R instead? I'm...not entirely sure where my flash drive is at the moment.

    Ahem. Nevermind. I found it.
