    BSOD WinDbg info

    Hello-
I have been receiving a BSOD while away from my computer. I downloaded WinDbg to analyze the information but I am unsure of what it is telling me. First I would like to make sure:
Is it safe (meaning- no personal info, location info) to copy and paste the information in a thread and ask for help? Thanks in advance for the time

If done this way it is.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.

    To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

    Updated BSOD with report...

    Windows 7 Home Premium- 64bit
    Home built- about 4-5mo old
    8Gb of RAM (Coursair XMS-3 DDR3)
    MOBO- ASUS M4A88TD ( Newegg.com - ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard )
    CPU- AMD 1090T ( Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT90ZFBGRBOX )

I have been noticing restarts due to BSOD and everything I am reading is pointing to a memory problem. Attached is the zip NT6_BSOD file but I am unable to run a performance test- is it because I am in safe mode? Currently I am unable to boot in regular windows. After the 'starting windows' screen posts I receive the BSOD. I did the novice actions (reset CMOS, pulled out one stick of ram at a time- restarted) and continue to get the same BSOD. I downloaded and ran WinDbg from one of the dump files (unable to find file at the moment to get exact wording) but from memory I remember that after running WinDbg it stated something like: attempt to use memory failed due to it not being available. Thanks in advance for the help and I should be able to reply to a response within about 10min of your post.

Remove any ASUS software installed on your system. This driver belongs to the ASUSTeK Display Lower Filter. It was the cause of the last BSOD.

    Are you using on-board video?

Run a system file check - SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Please run these tests and report back the results
    1. Memtest86 - Run for 7-8 passes - RAM - Test with Memtest86+
    2. Prime95 - Run all three tests for 3-4 hours each or until fail - https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...t-prime95.html
    3. Hard drive scan usings SeaTools - SeaTools for Windows | Seagate - Both long and short tests

"REMOVE or UPDATE Asus PC Probe software" I dont see this program under my programs list- should I trust a third party uninstall program? All I have in my program list is the GAMER-OSD and ASUS Smart Doctor
I uninstalled "ASUS GAMER- OSD" message at end of the uninstall in attached in a print screen. I need to reboot to completely finish the process. I forgot about my video card (ASUS HD6850- 1Gb)- Newegg.com - ASUS EAH6850 DC/2DIS/1GD5/V2 Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

Give me some time on the tests.... will return with info.

Also remove the smart doctor software.

Please download the latest drivers from here ATI Radeon.

Uninstall your video card from device manager and make sure you select the option to remove the drivers also. After it's removed, reboot the computer and install the latest drivers you had downloaded.

EDIT: After removing the two ASUS programs and reinstalling your drivers browse to \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\ and see if ATKDispLowFilter.sys is still there.

Uninstalling the Video driver and reinstalling it/reboot seems to have fixed the problem. I am able to run windows normally without a problem. Thank you both for your help... I will post back today/tomorrow on this thread if I encounter more problems.

Ok. If your system is stable then leave it alone. It was however blamed in a crash so it may still cause problems.
