Windows 7: BSODs, usually when going into standby/sleep

BSODs, usually when going into standby/sleep

My system was 100% rock-solid for almost two years, but it's started acting up in the past month or so. I get a BSOD every time I try to put the computer into standby mode, and once or twice it's crashed while I was trying to watch a movie or working.

3GB Mushkin DDR3 10666
EVGA x58 E756 (I recently flashed the newest BIOS, so I suspect this might be part of the problem.)
GeForce GTX 275 (Zotac, I think)

I'm having troublw with WinDbg's symbol files, but here's what WhoCrashed has to say about the most recent one:

Ben Hi and welcome

There are at least 6 problems. I am doing them now. While I am your first and probably biggest problem is sptd.sys

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads

when you're done you can use this Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) in its place. MagicISO - Convert BIN to ISO, Create, Edit, Burn, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter/extractor/editor

Ben Problems 2-6..

Anything else (if there is) we can fix when you repair these. Feel free to PM me if you need help.

Ken

2-Your Avast. A known contributing factor in this type of BSOD. Remove and replace with Microsoft security Essentials

http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclear5.exe

http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

3- Your Android Driver is from Jan 2009 well before win 7 was out. Update

How To Find Drivers:
Quote:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

4-The reason you were (and I am) having problems with WinDB is your file sizes or dates vary from MS std's. I wonder where you got both your win 7 and the SP-1.

The analysis suggests your crashes are Related to the WDF Dynamic driver from Microsoft. This is an integral part of the OS.

If you are not equipped to debug this problem, you should use some basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Make sure you have enough disk space.
  • If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
  • Try changing video adapters.
  • Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates.
  • Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

You can verify that and other OS files by running a system file check

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
SFC /SCANNOW

Read here for more information SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Let us know the results from the report at the end.

5- I notice several "KMD" files very similar to Mac files and wonder about those. They should probably be removed or updated at worst.

6-Other old drivers needing updates

Code:
moufiltr.sys 12/25/2006 10:27:18 PM fffff880`0613e000 0x00008000 0x45908886 fffff880`06136000
