Hung at Black Screen during Shutdown

    Hung at Black Screen during Shutdown


    I attempt to shutdown my PC. PC logs off, passes "Windows is Shutting Down" screen and it gets to the black screen. Then it hangs. It requires a hard power off to get it to come back up. I am currently trying to start with minimum services to see if this helps.

    Drivers/Windows all up to date

    Any other ideas on how to get a log/debug trace of where it is etc?

    Make sure you have 64 Bit drivers for all your hardware.
    If all your drivers are already updated, try clean-boot troubleshooting to see if something running in the background is the culprit:
