You uploaded the .exe file, we need the .zip file. :)

This is what I did. Sorry. There was a log file in that zip file.

    BSOD - Posting Instructions

For help with Windows 7 BSODs, follow these steps, create a new thread in the Crashes and Debugging forum, and add your dump files zip as an attachment.

If you have already made a thread, please go back to your original thread and post a new post in your original thread with the zip file/s.

Please do not make a new thread if you already have made one on this subject. Please post in your existing thread.

    1. Download the BSOD Dump & System File Collection app (EXE file) - save it to your DOCUMENTS folder.
    v3.03
    2. RIGHT-click on the EXE file icon, select "Run as Administrator"
    Note
The EXE file must "Run as Administrator" as it needs elevated permission to access system folders

    Information
    - The small cmd/DOS screen will appear with status information
    - Other windows will open & close
    - The app may need up to 10 minutes to run - PLEASE be patient !

    - OUTPUT = a new folder found in Documents named Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2

    3. Run a System Health Report -
START | type perfmon /report - a viewer will appear | Click on "File" and "Save As" an HTML file (default file extension)

    4. Windows Explorer will open to your Documents folder. Zip up the entire Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder & the PERFMON HTML file and attach the zip file to your post.
    Warning
Please do not modify the files in the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder

This tools generates a folder called Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2
You must compress this folder and attach it here. You uploaded the wrong file

I would remove Symantec/Norton, and replace with Microsoft Security essentials at least to test.

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product | Norton Support

Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials

These crsahes were Related to athrx.sys Extensible Wireless LAN device driver from Atheros Communications, Inc. I would re-install it with the newest driver available

Thanks. I unintalled Norton, still got the BSOD, then I went back to last know good configuration and it worked. I installed Microsoft Security Essentials. So what do I tell Norton? I have a subscription, will they refund any of my money?

However, wireless wasn't working, said I had LAN problems, repaired it. I assume that is the ahryx.sys. However, I am searching and do not know where to find the Atheros driver, every site wants to scan and fix and wants money to do this. Isn't there a free driver for this somewhere?

    Thanks for your time.

You can find Atheros generic drivers here
    Atheros Communications
Reinstall Norton if updating the Atheros driver fixes the BSOD
