I just got the BSOD help

    Hi,

I was playing Crysis2 when the loading screen hanged. I tried accessing the task manager to end the game. I managed to close the game but I got the BSOD afterwards.

    Here's some info
    -Happened just a while ago 6/11 1129pm
-Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit
-Original installed OS on the system
    -OEM
-just bought this laptop last October
    -Haven't re-installed any OS

    Help would be appreciated

Ur minidump points to ntkrnlmp.exe propably cause from Crysis2.exe
    Well follow these steps,
Download and install CCleaner - Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download
    Download and install http://www.piriform.com/speccy
Download the newest ati driver from AMD Graphics Drivers & Software
FIRST find the game save location and copy paste ur game save in a safe place.
Well unistall Crysis, clean registry with ccleaner, restart.
Unistall ati catalyst, clean registry with ccleaner, restart.
    Install the new ati driver,restart.
    Update directX.
    Install Crysis.
From time to time Check ur system temps with Speccy, especially while playing.
    ------------------------------
Is a good idea also to uninstall, clean, update Arcsoft software/driver (is too old from 2006) http://www.arcsoft.com/en-us/index.asp
    ----------------------

Alright so I already did the following:

FIRST find the game save location and copy paste ur game save in a safe place.
Well unistall Crysis, clean registry with ccleaner, restart.
Unistall ati catalyst, clean registry with ccleaner, restart.
    Install the new ati driver,restart.
    Update directX.

I decided not to install Crysis2 on this laptop anymore to prevent any further issues. My system temps are always around 60C. Not sure why it's high even though I'm not playing games.

For the temps,a little hot,but not to hot(for some laptops this is normal)
    Tips:
Dont put the laptop (when is on) in any surface that reflect back the heat, for example glass, shine furniture...
Take an air spray, hold the fan(don let it spin) with something, for example a small plastic needle, and spray (not to close) to get rid of any dust and dirt.
Always have in mind to have the ventilation free.
    Buy a http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&b...aptop%20cooler
If you decide to buy one and you want any advice for that, just ask,we are here to help!
