Windows 7 Crash - Help needed

Hi, I'm new here and I got a crash with my Windows 7 (OEM). It happend a couple of months ago and I gave up and have been using my laptop since. Today I wanted to try fix my computer again when I found this forum from a google search result.

I got into windows with a black screen and a cursor that I can move around, but thats it. I don't get the login screen. When booting from the Windows installation CD I get an error like this:

    File: \windowns\system32\boot\winload.exe
    Status: 0x0000001
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

I've almost forgotten what happend before all this, but I remember that there were some problems with my Windows and I tried to restore it from one of the system restore points. Which failed :)

I don't have much usefull on the OS disk so I don't mind erase it, format it or whatever as long as I can get it fixed. All help is appreciated :)

    Thanks for reading

    here is an update.

When I got the error described above, I pressed enter a few times and it moved forward. I got a low resolution loading bar with something green sliding inside, after a few seconds I was presented with a blue screen with the following message.

    STOP: c0000221 Unknown Hard Error
    \SystemRoot\System32\ntdll.dll

I removed some of my ram now and some of the errors are gone, but still when I boot from the installation cd I get a bluescreen in windows after the startup logo and before the login screen with this error

    STOP: c000021a
