Well there is something I came up with that might help you here.

    To Disable Selective Suspend:

    open the control panel
go to power options (you may have to set view to small icons)
    click change plan settings
    in the window that opens:
    click change plan settings
click change advanced power settings, expand usb and ensure usb selective suspend is disabled.

If you are having a power management problem with the keyboard and mouse this should help solve it.

    Forgive me for butting in...

But I'm having exactly the same problem, down to the distorted sound and everything. I've just changed my power setting for my USB keyboard and mouse, so we'll see what happens.

    A premature thank you.

Crashed again this morning with my mouse and keyboard randomly freezing. Couldn't control alt delete or anything. Unfortunately the above solution didn't work

ttorrao86, this thread is old and not likely to get a response to your question. You would be much better suited to start your own thread and ask for help from those on the forum. Even though you are not getting a blue screen crash, please follow the https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html to provide system logs. The system logs can help with freezing problems, as well.

How are your mouse and keyboard plugged in? Are they PS/2 connections or USB?
