Factory Restore Unsuccessful in preventing Loop Error

Hi, recently my Acer Aspire 7740-5691 experienced some malware problems and I had to restore it. I was getting this error:

"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer and restart the installation".

First I was recommended to restore with a backup, which kept all the files on my C:\ drive in a backup file? Well, that didn't help, so afterwards I was told to order restore disks from Acer and try a full factory reset that way.

I did so, and even after a FULL reset I'm still getting the error every time I restart. I don't know what else to do, I followed directions correctly and the restore went through smoothly up until the screen saying 'windows is preparing for its first use'. I'm getting rather frustrated... Help?

PS.-- these recommendations mentioned were given to me by a tech at the same store I bought the laptop from, Staples.

That doesn't really help.. I don't have an installation disk to get to diskpart nor do I have a way to make a recovery disk.. :/
