Full lockup while playing game...no BSOD but need to fully power down

Windows 7 64
i7 2600K, 8gb ram
intel ssd g2

every now and then while im playing sc2 the game will do a hard stall where I can't do anything. no keyboard, no mouse, nothing. all i can do is manually power off the system via the power button. not a bsod, no error pops up. really annoying.

any ideas?

thanks!

Hi.
A bad overclock maybe?
Check cpu and system temperatures,in BIOS and post them here.
Then...
STOP overclocking, set everything back to default factory settings.
Check again cpu and system temperatures,in BIOS and again post them here.
Work,play... when in default factory settings, wait and post back with any resuts.

thanks for the reply. I've been running my 2600k @4.5k for a few months now with no problem while gaming. I have the coolermaster hyper 212+ in a Corsair 800d case. RealTemp shows CPU at 42 degrees at idle.

any way I can post my bios details to see if I have any wrong settings?

Use a camera or mobile.

Sometimes overclock take time, maybe months to cause problems.

Question:the problem occurs only when you playing StarCraft II?
Did you test with other games?
If the problem occurs only with StarCraft II then probably is nothing wrong with ur computer, and maybe is game fault.
