    Crashes and BSOD!

    Hello
    I'm facing crashes in my laptop which is running Windows 7 Home Premium x64. The crashes are very sudden and unpredictable and it has been happening for the past 4 months. Though it's not very frequent, it happens once or twice in a week. I'm really tensed about this problem and want a solution for it desperately.

    Event properties of the error:
    Code:

    </Event>
    I'm zipping the file that I found in C:\Windows\minidump and uploading it here as an attachment.

    Any kind of solution with explanation of my problem would be really helpful.
    Thank you.

    Crash may be cause by a WiMax/WiFi Modem, MediaTek WiMAX Modem Protocol Driver
    Update this driver
    Code:
    mt7118vu_x64.sys        fffff880`07200000    fffff880`0722c000    0x0002c000    0x4b82a07e    22/02/2010 19:19:26
    Do a System Restore and remove that TunUP Utilities since it could have messed up your system
    Windows 7 does not need any 'TuneUp' software or whatsoever related utilities
    Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Run a scan of Malwarebytes
    Update your Hardlock Device Driver by Aladdin KnowledgeSystems
    http://www.aladdin.co.il/support/default.aspx

    Remove any McAfee or Zone Alarm software
       Information
    Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads
    You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

    There are no updates available for the WiMax Modem driver. I've already installed the latest one.
    I've removed TuneUp Utilities and Daemon Tools Lite.
    I ran the sfc/ scannow command, and my system was clean, no errors found.
    I downloaded and installed the STPD uninstaller from
    Code:
    http://www.duplexsecure.com/download/SPTDinst-v178-x64.exe
    I have eset Nod32 installed is the malware scan still necessary? And could you be more specific which HardLock driver should I install?

    Hopefully I wont see the BSOD again

    Malwarebytes is an antimlware, Eset Nod32 is an antivirus
    Just run a scan of malwarebytes
    The hardlock driver to be installed depends on your hardware, check in the device manager for the specific name, this should be it

    Okay I did the malware scan, It just found 2 registry files with adware. I removed it and hopefully now the PC is malware free.
    And I've also installed the hardlock driver. Till now the PC hasn't crashed, I'm hoping that it wont.
    Then again, as I mentioned before it only happens once or twice a week, so now I just have to wait to see if the BSOD comes again. *sigh*

    Okay, it just happened again. I tried to switch to sleep mode and it got frozen, there was nothing on the LCD screen.
    I waited for 5 mins and still there was no response, the PC didn't switch to sleep mode it was just frozen with the LCD turned black. I had to hold down the power button to switch it off.
    After turning it on now, I checked the event viewer and found the same critical error. There was no minidump file though.

      </EventData>
    </Event>
    This often happens, quite frequently recently, and more than the BSOD. The PC just simply freezes, mostly when I'm switching to sleep mode or shutting it down. And everytime I have to shut down by holding the power button.
