    Please help. Blue screen error.

    Hi

i bought this laptop and after a few days it keeps crashing with blue screen errors. sometimes it just crashes and restarts giving no information to why.

    its a advent roma 3001. windows 7 home premium service pack 1. celeron(R) Dual core CPU T3100 @ 1.90GHz 1.90. 32-bit operating system.

one says its found a error and has shut down /restarted to stop any harm and technical data with loads of numbers and igdkmd32.sys.

the other says its detected a problem and gives a error message of DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

I have reformated windows and done registary cleaners on it with no luck.

i have attached system health report and dump files to this.

please if anyone could help and i am a noob at this sort of errors.

    thank you

Your Intel Display driver is the cause, update it if newer versions are available

This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.

    Hi

Done 2 memtest's on it and came back with pass with no errors. I have been to the intel utillity site and checked for updates and didnt come back with anything to download. So im guessing i still need to do something as the crashing is still happening?

Could i not uninstall intel and use a different one like ati or something?

    thanks

Since your card is made by Intel, only Intel drivers should be installed unless you buy another graphic card

An other possibility is that you have a defective Intel graphic

    Hey

Hoping i may of fixed the error. i read that if you disable / unistall the driver then find the file igdkmd32.sys, delete it, reboot your comp, then reinstall the driver, rebooting the comp then it stops it happening.

I did this yesterday and i have used the laptop for around 1 half hours with no crashes / reboots. hoping this may have solved it but, it sometimes has good days and bad days so will see.

    Intel graphic??

    thanks

ok i spoke to soon, its just crashed on me showing the blue screen.

It gave the error message DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - said if this is first time then run a test on it etc etc. if seen more than once contact administrator. creating dumb file etc.

I have noticed that everytime it does this when i log on to a site... say this forum, when i click remember me, if i log off the computer then come back it still remembers me. but when the crash happens i have to retype all the details in again like its for got them. Could this be a suggestion to anything as well?

    thanks
