| | Black screen with mouse on boot, safe mode and DVD restore Hi, I force restarted my computer and when I try to boot I get a black screen with a mouse cursor I can move. After searching forums I tried using Repair your computer, safe mode, Last known good configuration and even the Windows 7 DVD. All of these gave me the same black screen. I was able to boot using a Linux live CD to rescue my files and I would like to do a clean install of Windows 7. However, I am still getting the black screen when I boot from the DVD. Any options?
