Thanks again for all your help! I had already contacted and cancelled the card. I think what happened was that prior to posting here I had downloaded some program that scanned drivers on my system to see which ones were out of date. I knew nothing about the program when I installed it; knew it wasn't smart but did it anyway. I think it scanned my system for things other than just drivers. :P Anyway, I have changed my passwords, just wanted to check and make sure.

I'll let you know if my brother's dragons crash the machine!

Hey there -- well I've updated what drivers I could, but I don't think I got them all. I'm not sure where to go to get the Asio one, for example. At any rate, it's still crashing. I'm going to run my minidumps again this evening; would you take a look at them and tell me what I've missed?

Run a full scan with your antivirus, download Malwarebytes, install it and keep it updated. Run regular scans.
You ran the scan or not?

I'll get you the name of the driver updaters ASAP. I actually do run regular Malwarebyes and antivirus checks, and they have all come up clean.

However, I noticed on the most recent crash that the computer tried to boot up... and failed. And kept trying. So I turned it off, and tried turning it back on. It froze on the Asus screen -- i.e., before even getting to loading drivers. It made me start to think maybe this is a RAM problem. The RAM is over a year old, so I'm fairly certain it's compatible, but I removed the RAM and reseeded it. Still crashed. So, I decided to run memtest86. I got over a million errors on my first run. So then I tried removing each stick (I have 4, 2gb apiece, ADATA gaming series) one at a time and running Memtest. It still started popping up thousands of errors every time. So either I have multiple bad sticks, or is it maybe my motherboard that has problems? Or even the CPU? Help.

If you can boot the computer completely, please follow the
Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions again. If you can not start it over, test your RAM sticks in another motherboard. I also suggest the use of a single ram stick in good condition in the current motherboard. This way you will be able to isolate what is damaged.
Stay calm and good luck. :)
    Let us know the results.

    Hi huskylives.
While I'm debugging, do the following:

    1. Download and rename it to "toy.exe" before save it to desktop, install and update Malwarebytes and run a full scan. Reboot when it promps to. Rerun just to be sure your system is clean.
    2. Defragment your hdd using Defraggler - Slim.

I'll try to defrag but this is the type of more intense operation that usually crashes my system. (i.e., once I get into Windows, it usually lets me browse the internet, etc. without problem, but if I start running anything more intense it usually crashes). Just out of curiosity, what will this do?

I'll also try to do what you suggested with the RAM in the morning once this is done.

Defrag successful! Starting Malwarebytes again before heading off to work. Thanks again!
