Wimfsf.sys page fault...

Buddy's computer was all virused up so he asked me to take a look at it. I pulled his drive, plugged it in to my computer and ran Microsoft Security Essentials which found and automatically removed a single virus: VirTool:JS/Obfuscator

now when I try to boot I get to the Windows logo screen and it reboots immediately forever looping.

I put in the Win7 CD and boot to the install screen and select repair but nothing happens. if I select "install windows" I get a BSOD with this:

wimfsf.sys

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Is there a way to fix this without wiping out the entire drive?

I'm gettin real frustrated here. I bought a copy of Win 7 Home Premium a few months ago. Installed it on a machine of mine. Tried to use it on buddy's computer and it gives me the wimfsf.sys BSOD error. So I go out and buy another USB stick, create the bootable windows install and get the same error when I boot from the stick. probably cuz I used the same CD to make the stick. So I don't have the cash to go buy ANOTHER win7 install cd so how do I get my hands on an ISO I can use to burn one with. I have a legit key to use, just need the install cd that I already have!!!

2 days messing around cuz of a bad cd. how much do you charge a customer for THAT????

got the files. made the disk. copied to the bootable stick. tried to run setup and it BSOD'd again with the same error. Pulled a couple sticks of RAM and tried running it again. Voila. Running like a charm.
