    BSOD 0x0124

Hi. Lately I have been trying to solve this BSOD problem, but after some research on google, I saw that it could be many things. Changed my power supply, changed the sockets my memory sticks were and cleaned the PC but the problem still persisted.

The BSOD 0x0124 ALWAYS happens while I'm playing World Of Warcraft. If I'm doing anything else or if I leave the pc for like 3-4 hours, nothing happens. Tried playing other games, even older games, and no BSOD error.

I ran windows debugging tools but I couldn't understand much, only saw that many lines were about my processor.

The pc crashes randomly while I'm playing WoW. Today for an example, it took like 2 hours of play to crash, then it happened. 2 minutes after I logged back from the last error, I got the BSOD again.

Motherboard: Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe (3 years and a half old)
Processor: AMD Athlon 64x2 4200+ (3 years and a half old)
    2 Memory sticks 2GB ddr2 800 (1 year and a half old)
    Windows 7 x64 retail

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

Thanks for the response in the first place!

Today I passed the day making tests. I played WoW first with 1 memory stick, then changed them. After that I made a processor stress test for like 1 hour approximately. Disabled my second HD and changed my power supply. None of these happened to stop the BSODs. The processor test didn't cause a BSOD.

Some minutes ago I have run the FurMark VGA stress test, and then BSOD!
After like 5-6 minutes of stressing the board the BSOD 0x0124 came back. I asked a friend to make the test on his house, and he said that the test ran for 10-11 minutes without any problem.

I used two NVIDIA drivers for my 9600GT: the 275.33 that's the last one, and the 257.21, a driver from a year ago.

So, could the problem be the VGA???

    Thanks again for the response!

Doubt that it is vga. More likely something video related (heat, power, dust, etc)
