Computer randomly restarts (common problem?)
Hi all,
My computer has been randomly restarting for the past 6 or so months but has recently gotten worse, around two to three times an hour. I have set the system to NOT reboot automatically after system failure, and to write debugging information as a Minidump file, but the computer restarts nonetheless and does not produce any Minidump files.
I have gone through two power supplies trying to solve this: initially I had a Coolermaster eXtreme Power 500W power supply, which I replaced with an Antec Earthwatts 650W power supply thinking that it might be a PSU issue.
My computer is currently on a brand new hard drive as of last night, with a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit installed. I updated the motherboard BIOS to the latest version, and I think the drivers are up to date.
Event Viewer shows Event ID 41, source Kernel Power, with a BugcheckCode 0, SleepInProgress false, and PowerButtonTimestamp 0.
Windows Memory Diagnostic showed no errors.
I'm at a loss and would appreciate any help. Thanks!
