Freezing at Startup Hello,
First, as this is my first post, if this is placed in the wrong section, please move accordingly.
When I boot into the operating system, I am unable to click the start button or any of the applications on my desktop. When I hover the pointer over the button, the circle is spinning. Pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete works sometimes, but never immediatly, and I always have to do it several times for the task manager to open.
I have already done the following resulting in absolutely no errors: - Memtest86+ for 24 hours.
- Prime 95 Blend for 24 hours.
- 20 Maximum runs of Intel Burn Test.
- Ran Chdsk on all four of the system's hard drives.
- Reformatted all four drives twice and installed the operating system along with all updated drivers twice.
- Ran a complete virus scan on all four drives using AVG Free, Shaw-Secure, Microsoft Security Essentials, and Norton Internet Security 2011.
- Ensured in the BIOS that the memory is running at its appropriate timing and speed.
I tried using the 64-Bit version of the Windows 7 Hotfix found at the following link, but every time it says it does not apply to the system: Help and Support. I chose the X64 platform.
Thank you in advance to everyone who helps! | My System Specs |

I downloaded all the drivers from MSI's website, and the Intel Rapid Storage Technology from Intel's website. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit CPU Intel Core i7-2600K Motherboard MSI P67A-GD80 Memory 16GB Mushkin Blackline Frostbyte 1600MHz Graphics Card MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC Sound Card M-Audio ProjectMix I/O Monitor(s) Displays HP W2408H PSU Corsair AX-750 Case Fractal Design R3 Cooling Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drives One 128GB Crucial C400, and three 1TB Samsung F3 Spinpoint: two in RAID I, and the other slave. |

This should diagnose the problem, but it comes with a warning.
It is in Beta
I have seen 3 members use it, and for two it solved the problem. the third says that Soluto screwed it even more. The choice is yours. About Soluto
Be sure to make a system restore point before installing. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

Be sure to make a system restore point before installing. And what does it do? Did they have similar issues to mine? | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit CPU Intel Core i7-2600K Motherboard MSI P67A-GD80 Memory 16GB Mushkin Blackline Frostbyte 1600MHz Graphics Card MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC Sound Card M-Audio ProjectMix I/O Monitor(s) Displays HP W2408H PSU Corsair AX-750 Case Fractal Design R3 Cooling Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drives One 128GB Crucial C400, and three 1TB Samsung F3 Spinpoint: two in RAID I, and the other slave. |

What it is suppose to do is tell you which drivers cause problems at boot. Again, I dont need it and did not use it myself. Soluto is just one of the many things that I learned while helping others.
