Windows ask updater Error I was recently working on my computer doing some gaming and all of the sudden my computer started acting a little funny, not running a program correctly so i restarted my computer and when i got back to the desktop menu i got a pop-up saying Ask Updater has stopped working. Along with this error came another pop-up saying Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime Error Program: C:\Program Files(x86)\Ask.com\updater.exe this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. I tried restarting, emptying recycling bin and fixing unused file extensions to see if that was the problem, but it didn't help. Is there any way to fix this? Also i would love to know what might cause something like this to happen! I run a Windows 7 home Premium 64 bit Toshiba Laptop with a 4g ram. Thanks in advance for taking the time to look at this! | My System Specs |
