    Repetitive bluescreen problem


    Hi all

    I recently did a clean install of win7 pro x64 on my computer with following specs:

    I also installed Battlefield Bad Company 2 which I have been playing a lot without problems before I did the clean install of win7 a couple of days ago. However, after playing for about 20-30 minutes or so, the computer totally freezes and the error I get after a forced reboot is:

    This is look like a hardware problem.(cpu maybe?)
    For first step please,
    If you Overclock STOP.Set everything back to factory settings.
    Update Chipset/Bios
    Clean any dust from the case.
    Check system and CPU temperatures in bios.
    You can also check temperatures in windows with Speccy - System Information - Free Download

    temps, meaning temporary files or temperatures?
    If you mean temperatures, the average is 40 C (42C, 38C, 39C and 40C)

    The CPU is the cause of the 0x124 error

       Information
    Run Prime 95 to test your CPU. Carefully the instructions in this tutorial: CPU - Stress Test with Prime95. Run 3 separate tests, one on each of the settings (Blend, Small FFTs, Large FFTs). Post back with your results.
