    BSOD driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

    Hello

Im get an increasing amounts of BSOD nearly all driver_irql_not_less_or_equal errors. I've done a number of things I have search through forums but with no success.

I suspect it to be my wireless adapter, it isn't windows 7 compatible but works using a Ralink software. I have already tried re-installing the software and drivers but still get BSOD.

    My specs:
Window 7 Home Premium x64 retail (downloaded version, have no disk)
    AMD x2 4800+
    2 Gb OCZ RAM
    XFX Radon 6850

    Thanks in advance

Five different types of crashes. All seem to point to hardware BUT I suspect it is your Symantec that is truly causing the problems.

I would remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials

    ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/englis...moval_Tool.exe

    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html

    Hi Zigzag3143

Thanks for the help. I had a suspicion that it was Symantec but didn't want to get rid of the anti-virus unless it was necessary.

I'll update the thread if the problem still persists.

    Thanks again
