    Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit SP1
    Original install
    OEM install
    System is 1 month old
Was bought as a floor model and had to reinstall from recover area on HD to get back to factory install.
got the BSOD and I was not doing anything special.
Also I have had the system freeze on me a couple of times and I can not even get into task manager by Ctrl Alt Delete.

    Any help is appreceated.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I have looked at your report and there are no mini dumps to look at, please follow the instructions in this tutorial...

i did follow those instructions to create the files you looked at. There was a message just after the blue screen went away saying something about the dump had failed (should have said that before).
How do I make sure I get a dump the next time it happens?

Ok I got a second BSOD the other day. I had setup the laptop to do full backup to my networked HDD using Norton 360 (I was successful in doing a small backup of just my home directory to the same network drive just the day before). When I woke and looked at the screen to my suprise there was the BSOD. Here is the important stuff from the BSOD screen:

    kernel_data_inpage_error
    Technical information
    *** STOP: 0X0000007A (0XFFFFF6FCC013E140, 0XFFFFFFFFC000009D, 0X000000007ABD98C0, 0XFFFFF98027C28F80)
Collecting data for crash dump ...
Initizing disk for crash dump ...
Physical memory dump failed with status 0XC000009C

I know you can not do much without the crash dump but maybe you could tell me why I did not get one?

Attached is the image of my startup and recovery settings.
