I ran the upgrade adviser and results showed that all system checks were fine, all devices were compatible, and all programs are compatible except for 2 (Acrobat.com and Activate Norton Online Backup) which I can upgrade both right now to make them compatible.

Edit: I've upgraded both and now everything is compatible.

I had to search for my model because it wasn't listed in the link you provided. My model is in the 2000s not 1000s like the link you provided. I found my model and I guess upgraded my BIOS. When I downloaded it and ran it, it went said it was "Erasing and Writing" then after a little while suddenly shut my computer down. So I'm assuming that I completed the upgrade. Now what do I do or how do I know if the upgrade was successful?

Excellent! Can you reupload the .nfo? By that, I'm able to see if your BIOS is updated.

To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.
    Best Regards,
    Frederik.

    Excellent! The BIOS has updated.
Have you experienced any BSODs since?

I have not received any BSOD. Thanks for your help. However, I have had the occational random beeping from my laptop. Do you know what is the cause of it? I get it probably every few days.

    Oh I see.

Before I can diagnose what the beeps mean, I'd need a computer model number, specs etc. You can update your system specs here on our forum, below link shows how.
