Freezing "Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0"

I got this computer a month ago, and it froze once or twice a week. But now that it's frozen completely the last few days, I'm here asking for help.

  • It always freezes when using an application, (games, internet explorer, windows media player.)
  • It freezes completely, no mouse movement.
  • It freezes more often during gaming.
  • Automated driver updates is on, and I have updated my GPU from the manufacturer.

In hopes of helping others with the issue. . . I too had the same problem, my computer freezing up with no movement or BSOD. The freezing was usually something I could recreate, attaching a particular file to email would freeze multiple times in a row or repeating a particular action in an online game.

I fixed my freezing with the same error as OP:

Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0

I uninstalled my network card and removed the drivers. I was using a Linksys WMP54G with Ralink drivers because the card didn't have Windows 7 drivers. I borrowed a different network card and my problem has been solved. I was getting about 2-3 crashes per hour and not haven't had any for about a week.

Hope this helps someone.
