    BSoD issues on 2 month old HP, thanks for all help!


    Hey there, had my computer for 2 months, 7 BSoD. HP told me to do a full system restore a week ago, 3 BSoD. usually IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    - the original installed OS on the system? Yes
    - an OEM or full retail version? Yes
    - What is the age of system (hardware)? 2 months(Although I did a full system restore one week ago
    - What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) 2 months

    Hello Gallabro, welcome to SF! Sorry for the long wait, it's very busy in this forum section....

    You have a couple of different dump issues that are as yet unclear as to what the exact reason is. If your system came with W7 (pre)installed, I would return it under warranty...

    But, if you want or need to fix it yourself, we hope it is not Hardware and can do a couple of tests and steps to try to rule that out.

    Please post back results but also again a full post as you did before, as this will have updated the logfiles etc, thx.

    First however, please goto your Maintenance Center and make sure you finish all windows updates, manually if you have to. When you are sure that's done, have rebooted and still have problems, try these steps please:

    1. Run in Safe Mode for a longer period of time and see if it bsod's, post back.

    2. If that works (ie, no bsod) then try:
    Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
    To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
    SFC /SCANNOW
