My blue screens occur most frequently (approximately 99%) while I am booting up my computer. If it somehow gets to my desktop, many programs are not loaded up properly (windows explorer, antivirus, windows live messenger, etc.) and sometimes it even shows the windows xp-like desktop (not windows aero). In all cases, when programs fail to load, my computer will eventually blue screen. I learned from experience that doing a cold boot right after the blue screen will guarantee a successful boot.
I've been having this problem for the majority of the 3-4 years I've had this computer and I've upgraded my hard drive and my power supply and also I've RMA'ed my previous OCZ ram because of this issue and still has not fixed this problem. I've reinstalled windows many times and I still get the same blue screens.
I have a few suspicions about what is wrong, but I would like to hear an unbiased opinion from someone a little more experienced than me. Any help would be appreciated!
