Yeah, that kind of surprised me as well. But maybe some compatibility issues of some kind that didn't manifest unless the disks were in use or some other circuits were active or busy, since memtest is very isolated testing just memory. But it's definately a first for me. You learn something everyday.

Vista 64 bit

I too am having the same problems with a very similar spec new build pc, looks like corsair memory and asus mobos are not compatible, seen this a few times now in various forums.

my pc P8Z68-V LX, I5 2500k, Coolermaster hyper 212, 2x4 gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz ram, WD sata6 320gb hard drive, Gigabyte GTX570 N570OC, 730 watt Raidmax RX-730SS PSU, in fact exactly the bsod posted here!
