IRQL Not Less Or Equal BSOD
Hello there Seven Forum.
Since May I have been having problem with system crashes landing me on a BSOD and now I have the time to look further into it.
If I run a torrent client my computer will crash after anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. I have tried several clients and the problem persists so I suspect that that it's the amount of network traffic that triggers the problem.
The Windows update KB2491683 made it crash right away if I opened my web browser along with a torrent client; it would crash withing 10 seconds, guaranteed. Some other update has since reverted that part of the issue so currently my system is only unreliable as before. It will eventually crash even if the only program I open is the torrent client.
The crash memory dump continuously points to the Eset Smart Security process ekrn.exe so I suspect it is either a bad Eset or network adapter driver, but pinpointing the issue is beyond me which is why I'm asking for help.
System:
Packard Bell EASYNOTE LM81-SB-552NC
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x64 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
AMD Athlon II P320 Dual-Core Processor, 2.1 GHz
4 GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
Realtek High Definition Audio
WDC WD5000BEVT-22A0RT0 ATA 500 GB
Win7 is retail, orignal OEM partition removed and disk reformated
Computer and install in one year old.
I have run Windows Memory Diagnostics directly after some crashes with not issues found.
I have run System File Checker with no issues found.
There are no newer drivers to download from Packard Bell and updating the graphics driver has not helped.
I've also tried removing and reinstalling Eset Smart Security but that had no effect either.
Tell me if there is any more info you need. Cheers.
