BSOD's my machine keeps crashing and i have no idea why.

Well I have recently started getting BSOD's whenever I play a game or
something. The computer typically does fine when just surfing the
    internet or going on facebook.
    -x64 bit
-originally had vista 32 bit installed, i installed windows 7 x64 a month or so ago. -OEM was with vista 32 bit, i purchased windows 7 from my school(ECPI).
    - hardware is around 4 years old, except for the video card which is about a year old.
The powersupply is around 3 years old aswell, I replaced the stock one with a 620watt when I had gotten my first ever video card upgrade.
I upgraded my ram about a month or two ago aswell it is 4 sticks: two one gig sticks and two two gig sticks for a total of 6 gigs.
I upgraded from 3 gigs and replaced two 500mb sticks with two 2gig sticks(this is why i installed windows 7 x64).
    - Windows 7 was installed around a month ago.

I think it has to do with a old conexant modem you seem to have.
All the current minidumps are very generic ones. (general kernel crashes)
If you are willing I'd like you to try using driver verifier to get some more telling dump files.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
(Please read all instructions for driver verifier before using as it's possible it will make the machine behave badly and you need to know how to undo it.)

    Code:
    Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt! ?? ::FNODOBFM::`string'+427f7 )

I enabled verifier and my machine is running very slowly and strangely o.O. After the restart when I turned verifier on my machine crashed as it was loading windows and it didn't give me a dump file for that . How long do you think I should let this run before I turn it off?

Thanks for the help by the way!

if it's going to create a crash it usually does it on start up.
You can try this to help ensure the crashes will be written
    To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header
Select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

I have been letting verifier run on my pc all day and I managed to get some BSOD's when I played a youtube video while playing world of warcraft at the same time. It happened within 5 minutes each time. Usually another BSOD would stop me from starting windows after the restart from the crash. Sadly everytime I get a BSOD it just gets stuck at initializing disk for crash dump... I let it sit for 20 minutes with no progress one of the times. So still no dmp files . Do you have any other suggestions that I could maybe try?

Well the reasons are varying but with all three of them it was AVG crashing that halted the system.
Perhaps you should remove it and see if the problem improves.
If it does there are a few other free av options that aren't that bad.

Alright, I'll go ahead and do that. I went in and made sure all of my ram sticks and my video card were seated tightly and properly earlier as well. Video card was slightly loose, could that have maybe been an issue with the earlier crashes? I am 99% sure that AVG hasn't been the reason for the other crashes because I just installed it a few days ago, long after crashes started.
