    Ok I finally got it on long enough to get the reports. Both perfmon and BSOD are done. Hopefully its done fully and correctly this time.

    Perfmon states that there's no driver installed for the USB bus - which leads me to suspect that other drivers may not be installed. Please check in Device Manager for any unknown or disabled devices.

    You do not have Service Pack 1 installed. Please do the following:
    - update ALL device drivers on your system from the MSI support website. Update the drivers for any devices not found there from the device manufacturer's website.
    - visit Windows Update and get all available updates
    - visit Windows Update and get Service Pack 1 (it's usually under the Important Updates section)
    - visit Windows Update and get any remaining updates

    The reports appear to contain everything that they're supposed to. Unfortunately, there's nothing that points at any problems. As such we've gotta assume that this is a hardware problem.

    I can't recall which of these tests have/have not been run. Please run any that haven't been run and let us know the results:
    I suggest starting all troubleshooting with the following diagnostic tests. They'll save you a lot of time and heartache if there is a hardware failure, and you'll have the disks on hand in case you need them in the future:
    H/W Diagnostics:
    Please start by running these bootable hardware diagnostics:
    Memory Diagnostics (read the details at the link)
    HD Diagnostic (read the details at the link) - Test ALL of the hard drives.

    Also, please run one of these free, independent online malware scans to ensure that your current protection hasn't been compromised: Free Online AntiMalware Resources (read the details at the link)
    There are also free, bootable antivirus disks at this link: Free Online AntiMalware Resources
    Then, if the above tests pass, I'd try these free stress tests:
    FurMark download site: FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net
    FurMark Setup:
    - If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
    - In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
    Click "Go" to start the test
    - Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
    NOTE: Set the alarm to go off at 90ºC. Then watch the system from that point on. If the system doesn't display a temperature, watch it constantly and turn it off at the first sign of video problems. DO NOT leave it it unmonitored, it can DAMAGE your video card!!!
    If the temperature gets above 105ºC, quit the test - the video card is overheating.
    - Click "Quit" to exit
    Prime95 download site: Free Software - GIMPS
    Prime95 Setup:
    - extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
    - double click on the executable file
    - select "Just stress testing"
    - select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight please run the "Small FFTs" test instead. (run all 3 if you find a problem and note how long it takes to error out with each)
    - "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
    The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
    Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
    This won't necessarily crash the system - but check the output in the test window for errors.
    The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.

    USE AT YOUR OWN RISK - the program doesn't have a whole bunch of safety features to protect you from yourself!

    I'm working little by little on these processes. So far, everything is as it was when we first ran tests. I did install SP1 and tried to install newer version from the MSI website.

    I was trying to do a little more research on this problem and on one of the websites I can across someone with a similar problem but they are calling it spontaneous restarting. Its the exact thing that's happening with my PC (black screen, waits for a few minutes, restarts, then repeats and no reports are generated) and has the same event viewer ID. Apparently, there's a big problem with event viewer ID 41 and there isn't many answers.

    If my PC will allow me to run these tests tomorrow I should be done....otherwise I have to wait on it

    Event Viewer ID 41 is a generic error message - so it covers a wide range of errors (so there won't be just one fix for all of them).

    Windows has several mechanisms for capturing errors as they occur. In the case of a hardware error, the hardware isn't usually "smart" enough to let Windows know that it has a problem. So it just shuts down, leaving very few (if any) traces of a problem.

    So then we have to rely on diagnostics/stress tests to see if we can force the system to tell us what's wrong. Unfortunately there aren't tests for every component on a computer - and some of the tests aren't 100% accurate.
    We can usually identify the problems, but in some cases it's just guesswork (replacing parts one-by-one until you find a "fix").

    Did you install the USB drivers - and are there any problem devices listed in Device Manager?

    Im not 100% sure, but as far as i know the event ID 41 kernel power only pops up when the PC gets an expected shutdown. If you hold in the power button for 5 secs on a "healthy" PC so it restarts you will get the same message. so i don't think the kernel power message has any thing to do with your real problem with the PC.

    I thought the USB driver was fixed and SP1 was installed until I fire my computer today and it shows that neither have been installed For some reason I can't get either to stay once they have been downloaded and a clean shutdown have been done. I can move icons on my desktop and cleanly shut it down and they as well go back to where they were.

    I notice when I do get to log in now and when I go to search for something, it takes a long time to find what it's looking for. Even when I use the driver tool from the MSI website it take a little while open...but the worst part is when I'm in the middle of downloading the updated drivers for the mobo and devices it always crashes.

    As for the replacing of some of the parts, I have ruled out the video card. I used that in another computer for a few hours and it worked flawlessly. Nothing cut off or was out of the ordinary.

    Finally I have completed all of the tests and all have come back clean without any errors. I'm moving onto the system strip down. Hopefully a faulty part will be the answer.
