    i just got a 0x109 T_T .. . .
there might be something bad with my board/hdd/ram
at the moment of the bsod the computer was doing heavy hdd operations (steam game cache checks)
    attached the report.
i might just upgrade this board, after all is about 4-5 years old.
    im going with these:
    gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 and G.Skill Ripjaws F3-16000CL9D-8GBRM - Memory - 8 GB : 2 x 4 GB.

opinions? (im gonna need a massive backup cuz im gonna loose my raid i know...

i read somewhere about some issues with memory hole remapping .. ill turn it off and see what happens Problem using 4gb in 64 bits

also, my ram might need some tweaking, aparently there are issues running all 4 sticks on nforce boards http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=127243

What did you set the NB Chip voltage to?
    Memory voltage?

The 'Wanna run 4x2GB on nForce board?' link is good info, did you follow all the settings he mentioned?

Most systems need some tweaking when running 4GB RAM or more, 4 RAM cards, these normally require NB (NB Chip voltage for yours) voltage and sometimes RAM voltage bumps.
More RAM chips need more voltage.

For the NB Chip voltage try the 1.313v first, if you get any crashes go to the 1.409v.

i set it to 1.4 yesterday. and it was sorta fine, but (i left the pc on all nite doing nothing) this morning, i woke up the pc, clicked on verify game cache (for another game) and got a 0x24 on ntfs.sys.
    this is... annoying.

    in other news
i got an email from rosewill about the psu.
i asked them, "i noticed the little table of data in the psu stating that the +12v1 is 20amp, +12v2 is 20amp, +12v3 is 30amp and the +12v4 is 30amp. which cable i need to use the 30amp since my card needs 24.
    they say
use the orange 8 pin cable, but only connect 6 into your card.
with pictures and everything. so whoever has the same psu Beware:
If you own a Rosewill RBR1000-M PSU, and you need more than 20amps on your video card, you must use the orange 8 ping pci-c cable, and connect that into your card

    about the settings..
the memory voltage was on 1.978v (which is the lowest) so i took it up one notch to 2.080v
i had the nb chip voltage to auto, so i moved it into 1.313v.. lets see what happens
also... how bout the cpu-nb voltage and the cpu voltage.. i currently have them on 1.4 and 1.3625

    Good catch on the PSU.

Voltage settings also look good, you might need to adjust them as explained in the link you posted.

the hard disk 3 is a portable (hence the letter P) is a 500gb western digital drive i use for stuff.
tages shouldnt be on my pc, since i formated etc., ill download prime and check it tonite. and prolly run the hdd test tomorrow..
my hdd setup is the following
2x ST3320613AS on raid 0 for windows and apps
3x WDC WD5000AAKX-001CA0 on raid 5 for data
1x WDC WD5000AADS-11M2B1 for tv series and anime.. (my board doesnt like him on the raid 5.. so i couldnt add him)..
ill get 3 more WD5000AAKX and add them to the raid 5. and i will take out the seagates and the lonely wd drive. (my next setup)
the thing about the link i posted.. is that i dont QUITE understand everything.. cuz the terms arent the same as my board..
for example.. my board had NB voltage, cpu-NB voltage and CPU voltage... is kinda confusing.

NB voltage is for the motherboard NB chip, it's separate from the CPU integrated NB memory controller.

CPU-NB voltage is the CPU integrated memory controller, this voltage can be set separately from the CPU voltage.

CPU voltage is the power to the CPU, processor itself.

Let us know the HDD test results for all the HDDs. It will take a while to test them all.

the seagate test for the raid 0, each individual drive (short test) came up ok. i couldnt run the test for the raid 5 as the western digital software doesnt see them (for some reason)
    i ran memtest 4.20
and got one error so far. (still running)
tst -pass failling address --------- good ------bad -------err-bits ---count chan
    6-- 0 ----000ac466dc - 172.2 mb..08000000 08800000 00800000 1

by using the address, how can i calculate which stick is the faulty one?
i tried hex to decimal coversion, and the first one gives me around 180, which seems close to 172.2mb, does it means it failed at the 172.2mb mark? (which is the first stick?)

so... im testing one stick at a time in the first slot.. i hope i get errors, cuz if not. it means its a slot/voltage problem.. which is harder to fix T_T
